CrossFit is constantly varied, high intensity, functional movements. In order to keep the intensity high, our work period is short. The goal is to move large loads, long distances, quickly.
What do we mean by power and intensity?
- Power: Work done or energy transferred per unit of time; The time rate of doing work.
- Power = Force x distance / time
- Intensity: Magnitude, as of energy or a force per unit of area, volume, time, etc.
- Power = Intensity
So why is power so important? Because power = intensity, and intensity = results!
