If you want results, you’ve come to the right place! Come and see what “The Sport of Fitness” is all about here at CrossFit 906 in Ishpeming. We are a core strength and conditioning brand combining weightlifting, metabolic conditioning, and gymnastics. Our athletes run, row, jump rope, climb rope and much more. Workouts involve constantly varied, high intensity, functional movements scaled to your fitness level. There are ten recognized general physical skills in CrossFit. They are: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. A regimen develops fitness to the extent that it improves each of these ten skills. Our workouts are rarely longer than 20 minutes so they can fit into even the busiest of schedules. At CrossFit 906 you will receive encouragement & support from both your coaches & your fellow members. Come and be a part of our community! We will get you in the best shape of your life!

In July of 2008, 8 months after having my second daughter and barely able to do a sit-up, I was introduced to CrossFit. I was immediately hooked! It quickly became a part of my daily life.
In 2010 my husband and I opened our own CrossFit box. I now have three fantastic jobs! I am a mother of two wonderful girls, a teacher, and a CrossFit coach. It is a privilege for us to share what we love doing with others. I love CrossFit and I love people!
At CrossFit 906, we work with your current fitness level and where you want to go to get the result you want to see. Sure, it’s not going to be easy. CrossFit forces you to work hard. But it will always be scaled specifically for you, and we will be right beside you.

6 months after seeing the results my wife was achieving with CrossFit, I decided it was time to give it a try. Our first workout together was “Angie”: 100 pull-ups, 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, and 100 squats for time. I was amazed to see what she could do 6 months into CrossFit! Since that day, my participation in CrossFit has had a tremendous impact on my life. I enjoy coaching CrossFit, and hold a non-intimidating coaching style.
Our two daughters are a part of our CrossFit regimen. We strive to be positive role models for them.
I am a graduate of Ishpeming High School and a manager of a small family owned business for 10 years, Tino’s Pizza. I am a wife and mother of 3 children, Meghan, Anna and Anthony. They keep my life pretty busy!
I stumbled upon CrossFit in 2009 by accident, when my best friend Nichole finally convinced me to attend an aerobics class with her. At that point in my life I was in a slump, was at my heaviest weight and had no motivation. Needless to say aerobics was cancelled and a CrossFit workout was the substitute. That workout was a turning point in my life. I will never forget that day! CrossFit had brought back my motivation and desire to exercise again. I have lost 30 inches and 25 pounds, and have more energy. My family feeds off my energy and my children do CrossFit workout with me. As a whole family we have participated in hiking, biking, basketball, running races and much more. CrossFit is family friendly and gets you in shape for all activities. The workouts are rarely repeated and always keep you guessing what the next workout will be.
Entering CF906 for the first time is like you have been there many times before. The members are supportive, friendly and most of all very helpful. The atmosphere is non-intimidating unlike any other gym I have been to.
I believe in CrossFit because of the results I have achieved and the significant impact I have seen in others as well. My mom has also witnessed all the positive effects it has had on me and my lifestyle and she is now a member of 906 as well. CrossFit is for EVERYONE!
I am a graduate of Neguanee High School and the Jacobetti Skill Center of Cosmetology. I am married and have a daughter Berkli. I have always been involved in some sort of exercise program, whether it was walking, running, aerobics, or weightlifting. I have tried it all!
I have been CrossFitting since 2009 and have never been involved in an exercise regimen that I have had noticeable results and quickly, not to mention that has kept me interested in coming back for more. Since I have started CrossFit I have entered races, a relay marathon, and even a sprint triathlon. These were all things I would have never imagined doing before CrossFit. It has changed me in many ways both physically and mentally. My self esteem has been boosted and it has given me a great amount of confidence. I find it motivating, gratifying and addictive! Also I have developed many new friendships because of it.
I was thrilled when Jill and Shay of CF906 gave me the opportunity to become a Certified CrossFit trainer. CrossFit is truly my passion and hopefully I can make it yours as well!
A MESSAGE TO OUR COMMUNITY:
Thank you for visiting CrossFit 906! Your patronage means so very much to us. As many of you know CrossFit 906 began as a way for us to share our love of fitness and athletics with what we assumed would be a small group of interested friends and family while building a lasting business for us to share as a couple. In just a few short months, our membership has grown and we have experienced amazing support from the communities that we love so much. Not just the athletic and CrossFit communities but Marquette County as a whole and the network of small and family owned businesses that have offered their support and advice as we continue to grow. We feel truly blessed.
As a business our mission is very clear, we forge elite fitness for all individuals. Beyond that business mission we have very personal goals and motivations. We honestly believe that CrossFit will put an individual in the best shape of their life. We want to serve the community that we have both grown up in and have chosen to raise our family in. We also both work full time jobs that can be demanding in their own right. Owning and operating CrossFit 906 as a family allows us an added common focus, more time together doing something we love and the opportunity to teach our two beautiful girls the value of hard work and perseverance first hand.
Whether you have joined us as an athlete, offered words of encouragement, congrats or advice or referred someone to us. Thank you! Thank you for accepting our business, our family, into this community.
